Atuando no RS desde quarta, bombeiros catarinenses se deslocam neste sábado para a região de Porto Alegre

Após atuarem em Lajeado e Santa Cruz do Sul no Rio Grande do Sul, onde já resgataram desde quarta-feira, 1º de maio, 516 pessoas e 84 animais, as equipes do Corpo de Bombeiros Militar de SC (CBMSC) receberam a missão de se deslocaram para a grande Porto Alegre neste sábado, 4. A Capital gaúcha vive uma cheia histórica.
Em três dias de operação, as equipes de Força-Tarefa (FT) do Corpo de Bombeiros Militar de Santa Catarina (CBMSC) já salvaram 600 vidas entre pessoas e animais durante as ações de resgate no Rio Grande do Sul. Foram 516 pessoas e 84 animais, além de três vítimas que infelizmente já estavam mortas – duas em áreas de deslizamento e outra em uma residência tomada pela água.
Autorizadas a deslocar pelo governador Jorginho Mello, as sete equipes foram para o estado vizinho já na madrugada de quarta-feira, 1º de maio. Lá se encontraram em Lajeado para integrar o Sistema de Comando de Operações sob a coordenação da Defesa Civil do Rio Grande do Sul.
“Em um primeiro momento as equipes foram deslocadas para atuar na região de Lajeado e Santa Cruz do Sul e neste sábado receberam a nova missão de se deslocar para a Grande Porto Alegre que está sendo duramente afetada pelo aumento do nível das águas”, afirmou o subcomandante-Geral do CBMSC, coronel Jefferson de Souza.
Foram enviadas ainda 10 viaturas 4×4, 11 embarcações, e equipamentos de resgates em deslizamentos. Equipes da Polícia Militar, Polícia Militar Ambiental e Defesa Civil também estão trabalhando para auxiliar nos trabalhos no Rio Grande do Sul. De acordo com o último boletim do Governo do RS, até o momento, o estado gaúcho registrou 57 mortes, 67 pessoas estão desaparecidas e há 74 feridos. São 300 municípios afetados, 32.640 desalojados, 9.581 pessoas em abrigos, 422.307 afetados.
Mesmo com o envio do apoio ao RS, as equipes do CBMSC, PMSC e Defesa Civil vêm garantindo o atendimento a pessoas atingidas pelas chuvas que prejudicaram principalmente o Meio-Oeste e o Extremo Sul.
