Aprovado Projeto de Lei para fortalecimento do trabalho da Defesa Civil do Estado

Diante do histórico de desastres naturais que Santa Catarina já enfrentou, fortalecer a Defesa Civil do Estado com profissionais preparados e equipamentos de ponta também se tornou essencial para a atividade fim da pasta. Ao longo dos seus 50 anos de existência, a Secretaria de Estado da Proteção e Defesa Civil de Santa Catarina (SDC) vem sendo reconhecida como instituição de referência nacional e internacional na prevenção de riscos de desastres.
Em 2023, o governador Jorginho Mello priorizou ainda a proteção e a prevenção, para diminuir os impactos dos eventos climáticos adversos na população. A Defesa Civil conta com um Centro de Gerenciamento de Riscos e Desastres de Santa Catarina (Cigerd), em Florianópolis, que trouxe uma estrutura mais adequada aos profissionais que atuam a partir do ciclo sistêmico de proteção.
Reconhecendo e fortalecendo ainda mais o trabalho do órgão, ocorreu nesta quarta-feira, 15, por unanimidade, a aprovação do Projeto de Lei nº 150/2024, de autoria do Governo de Santa Catarina, que trata de incentivo por desempenho de atividades finalísticas para os servidores em atuação na Secretaria de Estado da Proteção e Defesa Civil de Santa Catarina.
“O povo catarinense, por conta dos desastres, construiu resiliência para lidar com as situações de emergência. Portanto, nós precisamos estar sempre mais preparados e capacitados para atender a população de forma rápida e eficiente, fazendo uso de tecnologias, serviço de monitoramento 24 horas por dia sete dias por semana, envio de avisos e alertas e etc., tudo para ajudar a fazer o gerenciamento de riscos e desastres e garantir a segurança da população”, declarou coronel BM Fabiano de Souza, Secretário de Estado da Proteção e Defesa Civil.
O Projeto de Lei visa ter uma Secretaria mais preparada para cumprir a missão de prevenção, mitigação, proteção e Defesa Civil da população com profissionais cada vez mais qualificados, com competências técnicas, comportamentais e gerenciais e, sobretudo, comprometidos com as pessoas, principalmente aquelas que estão em situações de risco e emergências por conta de eventos adversos meteorológicos.
