A Comlurb retirou 287 toneladas de resíduos da Praia de Copacabana após a megaoperação de limpeza para o show de Madonna. Equipes de fiscais do Lixo Zero aplicaram 27 multas por descarte irregular de pequenos resíduos e publicidade irregular. A megaoperação contou com 1.518 garis divididos em três turnos de trabalho.
A limpeza incluiu as principais vias transversais de Copacabana, inclusive com lavagem das ruas com água de reuso. A partir das 22h o serviço foi intensificado, e toda a praia e entorno ficaram limpos já na madrugada de domingo ( 5/5).
A companhia disponibilizou 1.500 contêineres de 240 litros na areia e calçadão da Avenida Atlântica e principais vias de acesso, incluindo às estações de metrô, para o descarte de seus resíduos de forma correta. A Comlurb contou com mais de 65 veículos, sendo 18 exclusivos para limpeza hidráulica com água de reuso e 38 equipamentos, com dez tratores que fizeram o peneiramento da areia antes e após o show.
